What is ENZAMIDE™?
ENZAMIDE is an androgen receptor inhibitor indicated for the treatment of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.
How does Enzamide work?
Prostate cancer cells require male hormone androgen. Adrenal glands and testes produce these androgens. This drug works by stopping the androgen receptors present on the surface of the prostate cancer cells. As the hormone is blocked the cancerous cell does not grow leading to cell death.
Enzamide uses: Enzalutamide is a kinase inhibitor class drug recommended for the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma after failure of systemic therapy. It is a non-steroidal antiandrogen (NSAA) utilized in the medication of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (MCRPC).
