Venetoclax Uses

VENCLEXTA is a BCL-2 inhibitor used: to treat adult patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). In combination with azacitidine or decitabine or low-dose cytarabine to treat newly-diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adult patient aged 75 years or older, or who have comorbidities that preclude use of intensive induction chemotherapy.

Dosage: The recommended dose of venetoclax tablets should be taken with a meal and water at approximately the same time each day. The tablets of venetoclax should be swallowed whole and not chewed, crushed, or broken before swallowing.

Side Effects: The most commonly reported venetoclax vedotin side effects include:

  • Low levels of neutrophils
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea

  • Tiredness
  • Anemia (low red blood cell counts)

Warnings and Precautions:
