What is Tenofovir alafenamide and what it is used for:
Tenofovir alafenamide or HEPBEST is a nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor that inhibits hepatitis B virus multiplication and division for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus infection in adults accompanied by liver disease.
Dosage:
Tenofovir alafenamide is available in tablet form of concentration as 25 mg. This tablet is taken orally at the same time each day either with or without food. Tenofovir tablets should not be broken or chewed rather it is taken as a whole with water.
The dosage of drug dependence upon other medications, current medical condition, and response to the treatment.
Treatment Reactions:
Some common side effects of tenofovir tablets, when taken in case of hepatitis B are virus infection, are back pain, nausea, cough, fatigue, abdominal pain, and headache.
Some severe adverse reactions of these drugs on the human body include signs of kidney problems, confusion, unusual thirst, depression, anxiety, lactic acidosis, yellowing of skin or eye, drowsiness, vomiting, and unusual weakness.
