Description
Uses of medication: Monobenzone cream is also called as monobenzyl ether of hydroquinone (MBEH) and 4-(Benzyloxy) phenol. This cream is known for its de-pigmentation action. Monobenzone cream is used in the treatment of vitiligo.
Dosage: The cream containing 20% monobenzone should be applied in a thin layer and rubbed over the pigmented area at least twice or thrice daily or as instructed by your physician. Monobenzone cream shows a good result after a 1-4 month of treatment. In case of the missed dose apply the layer on the skin as soon as you remember but do not double up the doses.

Warnings and precautions:
- Prolong exposure in sunlight should be avoided.
- Benoquin drugs are only used in the treatment of severe vitiligo and not as a common cosmetic product.
- Place this cream away from children.
- Benoquin Cream should be recommended to a pregnant woman only if clearly required.
- Caution must be exercised when this cream is administered to a nursing woman.
- The safety, as well as effectiveness of the Benoquin Cream in pediatric patients under the age of 12 years, is unspecified.
- Prolonged exposure to the sunlight must be avoided while on Benoquin Cream, or a sunscreen must be used.
- This cream should be applied only as often as required in order to maintain the depigmentation.
- Treatment with the Benoquin cream should be discontinued if the irritation, dermatitis or burning sensation occur.
- The administration of the Benoquin is contraindicated in any conditions other than the disseminated vitiligo.
