This drug blocks the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). EGFR is important for cell growth and repair. The drug works on both normal and mutated forms of EGFR. By blocking EGFR, it slows down abnormal cell growth and reduces the formation of new blood vessels. This helps control the spread of disease.

Dosage & Side Effects: 

NSCLC:

The recommended daily dose of Erlotinib for patients with NSCLC is 150 mg taken orally on an empty stomach, i.e., at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after the ingestion of food. Treatment should continue until there is evidence of disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.

Pancreatic Cancer:
