Description
Uses of medication: Clobetasol propionate is belongs to a corticosteroid and applied to the skin as a cream in order to treat skin conditions such as:
- eczema
- contact dermatitis
- seborrheic dermatitis
- psoriasis
Dosage: A thin layer of the clobetasol cream should be applied to the affected areas a couple of times in a day and should be rubbed gently.
The clobetasol specifically belongs to a super-high potency topical corticosteroids, so the treatment must be limited to two consecutive weeks and amounts more than 50 g/week should not be used.
Treatment Reactions: The most commonly reported adverse reactions of Clobetasol cream include:
- burning sensation
- stinging sensation
- irritation
- itching
Some other less common reported side effects are as follows:
- skin atrophy
- cracking of the skin
- fissuring of the skin
- erythema
- folliculitis
- numbness of fingers
- telangiectasia.
