Uses of medication: Premarin cream is a conjugated estrogen vaginal cream used in the treatment of:

  • Kraurosis Vulvae
  • Atrophic Vaginitis
  • Moderate to Severe Dyspareunia, a Sign of Vulvar and Vaginal Atrophy due to menopause.

Dosage: When treating Atrophic Vaginitis and Kraurosis Vulvae Conjugated Estrogens (0.5 mg) should be administered intravaginally in a cyclic regimen daily for 3 weeks and then off for 1 week.
When treating Moderate and Severe Dyspareunia, PREMARIN Vaginal Cream (0.5 g) should be used intravaginally in a twice-weekly continuous regimen or in a cyclic regimen of 3 weeks of therapy followed by 1 week off of therapy.

Treatment Reactions: The most commonly reported adverse reaction of this conjugated estrogen include:

  • Breast pain
  • Headache
  • Pelvic pain
  • Vasodilation
  • Leucorrhea
  • Vulvovaginal
  • Vaginitis
  • Metrorrhagia
