Description
General Warning: All patients, including paediatric patients as well as patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, must be assessed prior to administration of Zometa or Zoldria in order to assure that they are adequately hydrated.
What is Zoledronic Acid Injection?
Zoledronic Acid (Zoldria) is a bisphosphonate drug, indicated for the treatment of:
- Hypercalcemia of malignancy.
- Bone breakdown due to cancer
- Osteoporosis
- Paget’s disease of bone
Zoledronic Acid side effects:
The most common reported adverse reactions are as follows:
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Anaemia
- Bone pain
- Constipation
- Fever
- Vomiting
- Dyspnea.
