Uses of Medicine: Kinetal tablet, contains Pentoxifylline 400 mg falls under the class of medicines called Hemorrheologic agents (affects blood viscosity). It is primarily used for the management of pain in the legs because of insufficient blood flow (intermittent claudication). The oral therapeutic drug also reduces numbness, cramping, or weakness in the legs on walking in such patients.

Kinetal 400 mg oral tablet works by reducing the viscosity (thickness) of blood, which allows it to pass a bit more readily through the blood vessels, mainly in the small blood vessels of the hands and feet. This drug can also increase the distance an individual can walk without pain since it improves the leg’s blood circulation. This treatment is recommended for individuals whose pain has not gotten better even after lifestyle changes like quitting smoking and doing regular exercise.
