This therapeutic drug is specifically used to treat metastatic colorectal cancer, which originates in the colon or rectum and subsequently spreads to other areas of the body.
Dosage & Side Effects:
The recommended dosage of Panitumumab injection for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer is 6 mg/kg administered as an intravenous (IV) infusion over 60 minutes every 14 days. If the patient’s body weight exceeds 100 kg, the infusion time may be extended up to 90 minutes. Panitumumab is indicated for use as monotherapy or in combination with other chemotherapeutic agents. Dose modifications or discontinuation may be necessary based on the occurrence of infusion-related reactions or dermatologic toxicities.
