General warning: When observed in clinical trials, Regorafenib can cause severe fatal hepatotoxicity. The monitoring of hepatic function should be done during or after the treatment. If any elevation in liver enzymes or hepatocellular necrosis is found, then the rigorous dosage is reduced or discontinued depending upon the severity and persistence of the disease.

What is NUBLEXA ™?

NUBLEXA is indicated for the treatment of patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) who have been previously treated with fluoropyrimidine-, oxaliplatin- and irinotecan-based chemotherapy, an antiVEGF therapy, and, if KRAS wild type, an anti-EGFR therapy.

How Nublexa tablet works: Nublexa is an anti-cancer medication that is used for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer treatment. Nublexa works by inhibiting the activity of an abnormal protein that signals the cancerous cell to multiply and divide. This blocking stops or slows down the spreading of the cancerous cell.

Dosage: Regorafenib is available in a film-coated tablet of concentration 40 mg. The recommended dose of regorafenib is 160 mg this medication is consumed orally for at least 21 days. Regorafenib is consumed with food.

Precaution: Few precautions of the FDA label regorafenib tablet are:

  • This medication is affected by any dermatological toxicity.
  • If the patient has hypertension, then this medication is avoided temporarily or permanently.
  • Discontinue the use of Regorafenib if the patient develops cardiac ischemia and infarction. The use of this medication is resumed once these events stop.
  • One should discontinue the administration of Regorafenib if the patient develops reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome.
  • In the case of gastrointestinal perforation, the use of this medication is stopped.
  • The use of this medication is not considered in the case of pregnancy. This can cause fetal damage as well as damage to the mother.

Interaction

  • Strong CYP3A4 inducers: Use of strong CYP3A4 inducers should be avoided.
  • Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors: Avoid strong CYP3A4 inhibitors.

Overdose: The highest dose a person can survive is 220 mg per day. The adverse overdose reactions observed are diarrhoea, mucosal inflammation, dermatological events, dysphonia, dry mouth, hypertension, fatigue, decreased appetite.

If any symptoms of overdose appear, then discontinue the administration of Regorafenib.

Missed dose: If a patient misses any dose then he should immediately consult a doctor. Taking doses at the wrong time may cause the severity of overdose toxicity.

  • Avoid going to crowded places as it may avoid the risk of infection.
  • Wash your hands properly.
